Rolling Meadows Park District Aquatic Facilitiesleaf-decoration

Pool Pass Sales began May 1, 2014 and are sold throughout the summer season. Passes are sold at the Community Center, Nelson Sports Complex and Plum Grove Park. Pass photo ID's can be taken at the Nelson Sports Complex Ice Arena office and the Community Center.

Nelson Sports Complex Aquatic Facility (NSC)

This facility has many features for all ages. The Nelson Sports Complex Aquatic features include: Splash Pad, leisure pool, tot pool, two diving boards, two waterslides, shaded deck area, ADA locker rooms and concession stand. Summer season begins June 13-August 17

Plum Grove Aquatic Facility (PGP)

Plum Grove Aquatic Facility features a 25 meter lap pool, tot pool, diving well and ADA locker rooms. There’s also great space on the terrace to entertain and socialize with your family and friends. Summer season begins June 7-August 17. After season hour: Weekends August 23 - September 1. Labor Day will be from 1pm-5pm.

Learn to Swim (Swim Lessons)

The RM Park District Learn to Swim Program is designed to teach students to swim in an environment that is safe, educational, interactive and fun. Instructors teach a variety of skillings including: safety skills, floats, glides and swimming strokes. Group swim lessons are offered at the Nelson Sports Complex Aquatic Facility during the summer season.  We offer levels 1 – 6. Also available is Tot classes and Parent/Tot classes. Private and Semi-Private lessons are offered at both pool locations. There will be a test the first day of class to determine which level is appropriate for the particpant.

RM Rapids Swim Team

This program focuses on the self improvement and skill development of the individual swimmer, while Rapids Swim Teambuilding a strong competitive team. Children ages 5-18 who are able to swim 25 yards of front crawl using rhythmic breathing, are welcome to join. Practices will be offered at both pools. Our swim team is a recreational and competitive swim program that features five age groups, 8 & under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14 and 15 & over. League meets take place on Wednesday nights. Transportation will not be provided to the meets. This program is designed to help participants improve swimming skills and techniques within a format similar to more intense year-long programs.

Aquatic Staff - Award Winning

All lifeguards at both facilities are Ellis & Associates trained and certified. Ellis & Associates is a leader in the industry of lifeguard training. Guards continue their training by participating in at least 4 hours of in-service each month during the season. Ellis conducts unannounced audits on our lifeguards 3 times during the summer to assess the quality of our program and give feedback to our management staff.
