Summer Day Camps

The Rolling Meadows Park District offers a wide variety of traditional and specialty camps that range from one to nine weeks. Scroll down to explore our different 2018 summer camp options. All campers are required complete the emergency forms and submit a recent picture due the day of registration. Campers without completed emergency forms will not be allowed at camp. Campers who have not submitted a recent picture prior to the start of camp will be charged a $10 picture-processing fee.

Ages 3-5

10am-Noon

Children enrolled in this camp participate crafts, the splash pad, playground time, in camp theme weeks centered on stories and more! All campers must be toilet trained and must be 3 by the start of camp. This camp is offered in two, 4-week sessions. Campers can be registered for two, three, or five days a week. Jr. Kids Camp

Ages 5-6

9am-4pm

This camp features arts, crafts, games, field trips, swim time (not during public swim), special events and more. This camp is offered Monday-Friday in two, 4-week sessions. Extended hours are available for this camp at an additional fee. Campers shoul dbring a lunch and drink each day. Entering Grades 1st-6th

9am-4pm

This camp includes games, music, art projects, crafts, outdoor adventures, swimming, field trips, and in house events throughout the summer. Campers will work on community service projects, and activities to help youth development, team building and leadership skills. This camp is offered Monday-Friday in three, 3-week sessions, but individual week registration is also offered. Extended hours are available for this camp at an additional fee. Dance Camp | Ages 6-12

June 26-August 3 | 9am-4pm

This camp features dance specific programming and classes in addition to games, music, art projects, crafts, outdoor adventures and swimming. This camp is offered Monday-Friday in three, 2-week sessions. Extended hours are available for this camp at an additional fee. Campers should bring a lunch and drink each day. Figure Skating Camp | 1st-10th Grade

Entering 1st-5th Grade | 9am-3:30pm

Entering 6th-10th Grade | 7:45am-2:45pm

This 9 week camp is offered 3 days/week (Monday, Wednesday & Friday) for recreational and competitive skaters alike. This camp features off ice warm up and goal setting, power class, dance class, conditioning, flexibility training, on ice specialty classes and freestyle practice ice in addition to typical summer camp activities. Our camp is instructed by experienced national USFS and PSA accredited coaches, this skating curriculum will encourage skaters to reach their full potential. Extended hours and traditional summer camp for Tuesday and Thursday are available for this camp at an additional fee. Campers should bring a lunch and drink each day. Theater Camp | Ages 10-16

June 25-July 27 | 9am-4pm

A theater immersion workshop designed for the younger singer, actor and/or dancer looking for an experience in the world of musical theater. Workshop will consist of training in proper vocal, acting and movement technique. No previous theater experience required. Every participant will be assigned a role in the show appropriate for his or her level of development and experiences. Assigned roles are based upon a prepared vocal audition as well as movement and script reading auditions which will be taught on the first day. Commitment to attendance at all rehearsals is essential to individual and ensemble success, especially during the final week of the camp. Broadway Boot Camp | Ages 10-18

June 11-June 22 | 9am-noon

Get a taste of our youth theater program with this two week camp that will provide young and aspiring actors an opportunity to work on a production especially adapted for this age group. Attendance is required for each class. Auditions are held the first class of the session. Students and parents will be asked to help with simple props and costumes. The final presentation will be held at the Cutting Hall Performing Arts Center on June 22 at 10:30am. Showstarters | Ages 6-8

Monday-Friday | 1:30-3:30pm

Learn all-important skills necessary for good stage performance as well as everyday living: public speaking, self confidence, body language, and basic movement. This class offers more individual instruction than a performance oriented class. The focus will be on theater games and having fun with being "on stage".


Lil' Kickers Camp | Ages 1.5-2.5+

Monday- Friday | 9-9:50am

Introduce toddlers to soccer with games that allow them to run, play as a group and kick a ball.They gain basic soccer skills while building fundamentals such as balance and coordination. Our camp incorporates activities that include parachutes, bubbles, noodles, cones, lots of goal scoring and more.

Lil' Pro Camp | Ages 3-5

Monday-Friday | 10-10:50am

The camp will focus on balance, coordination and fundamental soccer skills while also developing listening, coordination and teamwork skills. The last day of camp is spent showing off skills learned throughout the week and a water fight (weather permitting). Campers should bring a soccer ball, shin guards and a snack!

Pro Soccer Academy | Ages 6-12

Monday-Friday | 9am-noon

This camp will take experienced soccer players and beginners to the next level. The last day of camp is spent showing off skills learned throughout the week and a water fight (weather permitting). Campers should bring a soccer ball, shin guards and a snack!

Basketball Skills Camp | Ages 7-12

Monday-Thursday | 6-7:30pm

This camp will help kids improve their basketball skills, such as dribbling, passing, shooting and rebounding. Participants also will learn the proper defensive stance, practice zone defense, and experience man-to-man defense through challenging drills and structured games.

Archery Clinic | Ages 7-12

Monday-Thursday | 6-7:30pm

Learn basics of using a recurve bow, fundamental shooting skills, and the nationally recognized beginner's 9-step to the 10 ring progression all while in an extremely safe environment. Blunt tipped arrows, bows, and target are provided. Technique and games will be a part of this class.

Tennis Clinic | Ages 7-12

Monday-Thursday | 6-7:30pm

Learn the techniques for racket face control, placement, ground strokes, volleying, serving, and overhead shots and develop agility, speed and coordination needed for effective tennis play. Each player should bring a water bottle. Rackets and tennis balls are provided.


Splashtastic Summer Camp | Ages 6-11

Monday-Thursday | 10am-1pm

Build swimming skills and confidence in the water while working on swim strokes and drills. Campers will learn basic emergency response skills, like water rescues and CPR, through a Junior Lifeguard program. All campers will receive a certificate for their participation in the camp.

Jr. Lifeguard Camp | Ages 10-14

Monday-Thursday | 11am-1pm

This course covers rescue techniques, first aid, aquatic safety, and emergency equipment like lifeguard tubes. The lessons we teach Junior Lifeguards stay with them forever and go a long way if they wish to continue pursuing the life of a lifeguard.


Day Camp Refund Policy

*Individual Week Camp will follow general refund policy.

*School Age Camp session refund policy is the following:

  • A full refund will be processed for approved requests received 48 hours prior to the start of the program.
  • Approved requests received less than 48 hours prior to the start of the program, but still prior to the third class meeting, will be issued a refund of 75% of the registration fee.
  • Approved requests received prior to the start of week two (of the three-week session) will be issued a refund of 50% of the registration fee.
  • Program and other non-refundable materials will be deducted from the refund total.
