Mission Statement

The foundation's mission is to improve the quality of life for all residents in Rolling Meadows Park District by securing donations for park, facility and program development and maintenance.

General Information

Founded in 2006 the Rolling Meadows Park District Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to securing donations for open space, parks, and recreational facilities and activities. The Park Foundation is an independent non-governmental organization that works with the park district to support the park district scholarship program, tree replacement program and the capital improvement program.

A gift to the Park Foundation will be recognized, is tax deductible, and may be increased by your employer with a matching gift program.

Members

Members of the Foundation Board are appointed and serve three-year terms they are residents dedicated to improving the park and recreational facilities in the Rolling Meadows Park District. These volunteers are committed to improving the parks and facilities of our community. We believe when people work together, not only does it benefit the parks, but it creates a strong sense of pride and ownership in the park district and the community.

Giving Programs

All residents can participate in foundation giving, whether young or old, whether a life time resident, a new homeowner, or business you can make a difference. Small donations and in-kind gifts demonstrate community pride. Large contributions stretch the tax dollars used for capital improvements needed to leave a lasting legacy of excellence in parks and recreation.

Generalist Giving

Individuals or companies that make a donation to the foundation can rest assured that the money will go to a park or facility improvement. A list of capital improvement needs will be provided to the Foundation Board by park district staff. The Foundation Board will determine how the generalist giving dollars are spent.

Living Tree Program

Individuals and groups are invited to donate a tree to one of Rolling Meadows Park Districts' beautiful parks in the name of someone special or to commemorate a special occasion. Births, anniversaries, weddings, retirements, and graduations are among the extraordinary life events that could be memorialized by a unique gift of this sort.

The price to plant a memorial tree is $500-$750, depending upon the tree species. This price include the planting and maintenance and a commemorative bronze plaque. Trees are planted in spring and fall. Should a tree need to be replaced the park district will prioritize its replacement within its capital replacement budget. Park District staff will work with you on the location of your tree. Click here for the Living Memorial Donation Brochure.
